Pays Herself but Leaves Schools and Kids in the Lurch

She voted for her own future pay and new “furnishings” for the legislature but rejected funding our public schools and community colleges, including support for the Arapahoe School and CWC scholarships, especially for nurses. (SF02, 2024; HB01, 2024)

Penn voted to DEFUND Wyoming’s Internet Crimes Against Children Program and staffing and opposed the “Child Abduction Prevention Act” (HB01, Sec. 15, 2024; SF36, 2024)

Sarah Penn says “NO” for programs for the elderly, including home health services, senior centers, hearing aid programs, hospice care, and law enforcement for protective services and to fight financial exploitation of vulnerable adults. (HB01, 2024; SF57, 2024; SF69, 2024; HB27, 2024; SF24, 2023.)

When given the chance to support our local law enforcement, Sarah Penn said no. (SF47, 2024)

Abandons Wyoming’s Veterans

When veterans needed her the most, Penn voted against improving the crumbling Veteran’s Home in Wyoming, our state’s only veterans’ home. (HB01 H3033, 2024)

As a certified medical professional, Sarah Penn notoriously told new moms they just had to toughen up instead of getting medical support postpartum. Her vote wasn’t pro-life for moms or their babies. (HB4, 2023)

Callous to New Mothers

Doesn’t Support our Kids and Schools

Opposed mental health support for schools, developmental preschool services that help fund CDS in Fremont County, and also opposed inflation adjustments for Hathaway scholarships which make college affordable for our high school graduates. (HB34, 2023; HB 119 & HB01 Sec. 331, 2024; SF19, 2024; HB 113, 2024.)

Fremont County has some of the highest suicide rates in Wyoming, but Penn doesn’t care. She voted against starting the Wyoming 988 suicide prevention lifeline in 2023…a program that thankfully passed without her vote and has shown results in saving lives. (HB66, 2023)

Voted against efforts to grow and diversify our economy and create jobs, including energy projects, technological innovation, broadband expansion, tourism infrastructure and workforce training for industry jobs. (HB01 Sec. 323, 2024; HB71, 2024; HB 67, 2024; HB01 Sec. 1)

Penn couldn’t care less about addressing real problems in Wyoming, including helping teacher shortages (HB 114, 2024), affordable housing solutions (HB01 Sec. 334, 2024) and programs for more Wyoming doctors (HB01 Sec. 67, 2024). She opposed all these.

Is Two-Faced About Public Transparency

Although Penn touted her bill to improve public transparency in school districts (HB 61, 2024), she voted against it when it could apply to her in campaign-related reporting (HB41 & HJ2, 2024; SF 40, 2023).

Did you know, that in spite of representing a House District that is over 50% Native American - Sarah Penn wants to take away public health protections for this at-risk population?

We call this her DEAD WRONG agenda.
